How to obtain the visa for the Republic of Serbia
We are herewith informing all potential visa applicants that from 1st June 2010 it is no longer possible to procure a visa on a same - day basis at Diplomatic-Consular Missions of the Republic of Serbia. From the stated date a prior consent of the pertinent authorities of the Republic of Serbia will be required. We thus kindly advise all potential visa applicants to submit their visa applications within a time period required for the issuance of the same, an early submission being the best course of action.

Beginning from June 12, 2010, citizens of European Union countries, the Swiss Confederation, Kingdom of Norway and Republic of Iceland may enter the Republic of Serbia using their identity cards and stay up to 90 days.

Visas can be requested by submitting an application to the Consular Section of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia, in person, or by mail (with all required supporting documents and the Postal order on Embassy of Serbia-London).
Short stay visas are mainly issued for tourism, private visit, business as well as other travelling needs including a single, double or multiple entries into the Republic of Serbia. The duration of an uninterrupted stay, and/or the total duration of successive visits of a foreigner with a short stay visa shall not exceed 90 days within a period of six months, which began on the day of the first entry. A short stay visa with the multiple entry option is issued with the validity of up to one year, with a maximum stay of 180 days.
Applicants shall enclose the following documents with the application:
- Valid travel document
- The period of validity of the travel document should exceed that of the visa's by three months
- Colour photo 35x45 mm
- Supporting documents that prove:
- the purpose of the journey to the Republic of Serbia
- - For a private visit, a certified invitation letter from a relative or a friend from Serbia is required.
- - If applying for a business visa, please enclose an official invitation from the company in Serbia, stating the nature of the business, expected duration of the visit as well as the name and address of the company or institution you are visiting. Also needed is a letter from the pertinent company, which you are representing.
- - For a tourism, certificate from an accredited tourist agency that the travel arrangement has been paid for (voucher or other proof of payment), or proof of ensured accommodation (hotel voucher)
- Proof of residence (if you are not residing in your native country)
- Proof of sufficient funds for staying in Serbia (50 EUR per day)
- Return ticket (copy of International Driving License, Title and Insurance if you travel by car)
- Travel health insurance
Tax fees for issuance of visa list £49.0 (Postal Order required if applying via post and only cash acceptable when applying in person). If the visa request is not granted by the Serbian authorities, the amount of £2.00 will be returned to the applicant.
Notice: Consular fee of just £2.00 is required from all citizens of the following countries: Armenia, China, Mali, Pakistan, Ukraine and Syria and for the holders of the passport of the UAE consular fee is £119.00 (reciprocity)
Consular fee for travel visa in a common travel document list £49.00 + £2.00 per person or for transit visa in a common travel document £49.00 + £1.00 per person.
NOTICE FOR ALL TYPES OF VISAS
Upon submitting the application we require you to send only a copy of your passport, UK or Irish visa and previous Serbian visas issued. Your original passport will be required only after we obtain authorisation to issue visa.
If you are sending us your passport by post, please send additional 5Ł for the additional costs Recorded Delivery that we will use to return your passport.
The Embassy reserves the right to request additional documentation.
Incomplete applications will not be accepted and they will be returned to the applicant at their cost. When completing the application forms, please print and note all requested information, including your full address in the country you are residing (P.O. Box not accepted) and telephone number.
Visa processing time is usually up to three weeks given that the Serbian authorities must grant all types of visas.
